Fliegerführer 2

The actual operational control is in the hands of a special G.A.F. headquarters occupying a commanding position in the Alban hills whence nearly the whole beachhead can be covered … The officer in charge is General POHL … Immediately under him are Fliefü Oberst SIEGEL who supervises the fighter and Jabo operations and Major LEPPLER who is Chief Controller. Particular importance is attached at this headquarters to providing good fighter cover for the Jabos.
