Contact with 50–60 BF IIs in Squares JH and MJ.

1 BF II shot out of formation by Obstlt. Steinhoff. 2 engines showed yellow trails [smoke or flames?]. The machine remained behind the formation. 20 km. north of Klagenfurt at 500 m., the BF II was finally destroyed by fighters from the Reich.

2 Bf 109s (Stab) scramble (Povoletto). Because of engine trouble, mission broken off without sighting enemy.

During the night of 10/11 April the telephone wires to Povoletto aerodrome and the technicians' billets in Belvdere were cut. The Emergency Squad of the Signals Company was put on the march toward the aerodrome. No partisan attack ensued.

On the way to the aerodrome, the Stab pilot Oblt. Faulbaum was killed by an Italian bullet. Despite all the investigations it could not be confirmed whether it was hostile action or an accident.

2 Bf 109s (Stab) scramble (Povoletto). Fly to the west of ZAGREB at 7000 m. Over Zagreb 50–60 Lightnings seen in vapour. No attack because of an order over the radio to break off and go after the bomber formation. Finally order given to land.

2 Bf 109s (Stab) scramble (Povoletto). No contact or loss. Intermediate landings in Zagreb, Graz and Fels am Wagram.
