Transfer

At first light the Stab and Gruppe advance parties look for the new airfields in [? goes off edge of page] in order to make sure of the servicing arrangements for the fighters due to land there at last light. From the Stab the He111 and Hptm. Klug in a Fi 156 go to Bettola in the morning.

Accommodation as follows:

Command Post about 2 km. east-southeast of the airfield on the […?] before Lake Garda.

Officers' billets: Castell Drugolo.

Signals Company: Villa Terzaga.

With the Komp. of the Geschwaderunterstab.

Although the Kommodore had been in Ghedi 14 days ago with the airfield command and went to the two airfields, Ghedi and Bettola, with the head of the construction staff and established all the work necessary (blast pens) for fighters on the bomber[?] field, nothing had been done. On the Geschwader base at Bettola they had set up a mere six "well" camouflaged boxes in the form of some car garages[? cannot find "carragen" in the dictionary!]. These had to be pulled down immediately.

In Ghedi II./JG 77 arrives on the […?] field and I./JG 77 on the runway to the east of this.
