NOTES:

1)

Source believes this was to II. Jagdkorps.

2)

No previous reference to “high wind” Gruppe.

3)

Most of the information on equipment is new. None of the above units have been formerly reported re-equipped on to new types either of Fw 190 or Me 109 with the exception of I./JG 4, II./JG 11, IV./JG 27 and I./JG 77.

The equipment of III./JG 77 was clearly written as Bf 109 G-4. This may be a mistake for G-14, as on 9 September the Gruppe was ordered to Sachau to re-equip on this sub-type.

Source has never before mentioned the Bf 109 G-10.

Only previous reference to Bf 109 K-4 [was] in connection with III./JG 26.

4)

This is the first reference to IV./JG 4. It may be that II./JG 5 has been renamed as it does not appear on the list. On 3 October, II./JG 5 was ordered to remain at Reinsdorf, where it had been re-equipping on to G-14s, subordinate in all respects to JG 4. (Compare III./JG 76 renamed as IV./JG 53).

5)

I./JG 27 is missing: it was last located on 17 October when it left Hoya for Riesa-Leutewitz in the Leipzig area (it had been withdrawn for re-equipment on 15 August 15).

In September IV./JG 54 formed part of Gefechtsverband Späthe in 3. Jagddivision. On 6 October was to transfer to Mörtitz.

6)

The earlier reference to IV./JG 300 is now confirmed.

7)

II./JG 300 has not previously been described as a Sturmgruppe, but it has long been connected with the two other Sturmgruppen, IV./JG 3 and (Roman) II./JG 4.

8)

JG 301, intended for Schachten on 6 November is omitted from the above list.
