Additional information
1.(F)/Nacht was directly subordinated to Luftflotte 4, at Linz-Hörsching on 3 May 1945. On 24 February it was based at Wiener Neustadt. Next day, the Staffel's Lt. Walter Krch [sic] and Ofw. Hans Schippers were posted missing in bombing at Dresden.
3.(F)/33 was reported as being disbanded at Kircham on 3 May 1945. On 20 February, it had a Ju 188 D-2 (WNr. 230433) 10% damaged when it nosed over while landing at Steinamanger (Szombathely) Hungary. On 3 March at the same airfield, another Ju 188 D-2 of the Staffel (WNr. 150537) crash landed due to poor ground conditions. No personnel were hurt in either incident.
Subordinated to 18. Fliegerdivision, 2./NAG 16 was at Wels on 3 May 1945, with a Kette in Graz. The Staffel reported an Fw 189 A-2 (WNr. 125402) 90% damaged by Flak on 30 January.
According to the KTB of the General der Aufklärungsflieger:
- on 3 March 1945, Oblt. Wolf Loah of the Versuchsverband OKL had been posted to 3.(F)/33 for training as a Staffelkapitän;
- on 17 March, Hptm. Hölterscheidt had been posted from 2.(F)/Nacht to be trained as a Staffelkapitän with 1.(F)/Nacht;
- also on 17 March, Hptm. Jährig of 3.(F)/123 was transferred to 3.(F)/33 as Staffelkapitän.
